Megan Simon, Veterinary Assistant

Andrea “Pinky” Mire, Veterinary Assistant

What I like best about working at CPVC: My love for the animals, Dr. Jackie and the staff.
Andrea shares her home with sixteen pets. Pinky fosters for St. Martin Animal Services where her daughter is the staff veterinarian and for Misfit rescue.
Hobbies/Pass Times: Loves dogs and reading. Loves helping with her grandchildren.

Payton Istre, Veterinary Assistant

Education: Attending School. Future plans are to attend LSU-SVM once finish Pre-Veterinary course work.
What I like best about working at CPVC: The atmosphere is awesome. I love everyone I work with. Every day is never a dull moment.
Payton shares her home with Dow, Sam, Holly and Scrappy (the dogs). Four cats Lotis, Chubby Butt, Righley and Nelja. She has one hedgehog named Polly and guinea pigs Zelda and Leia. She also has Reptar and Tommie, (the rats), along with the bunnies Bunbun and Winston and a bearded dragon named Thistle.

Daryan shares her home with ten dogs and two pigs. Some of these are rescue animals and looking for furever homes.

Education:Louisiana State University in Agricultural Education and several years’ experience in 4-H and FFA.
What I like best about working at CPVC: “I love working with people and caring for animals, so CPVC was the perfect place for me!”
Gabbie shares her home with Kujo, a domestic shorthair cat, Remy, a Blue Heeler, and Gracie, a Labrador mix.
Hobbies/Pass Times: Training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, farming, and blogging. She currently holds the rank of blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and also works as a kid’s instructor at Gladiators Academy in Breaux Bridge.

Emily Newell, Veterinary Assistant

What I like best about working at CPVC: Everyone is focused and strives to improve animal health. Exceptional teamwork and a sense of humor make the work atmosphere a family-like practice involving employees and clients.
Emily shares her home with Rainy, an American Bully, Hannah, a Chocolate Labrador, Bruce Wayne and Pollo the cats. Emily is married with a toddler son and has been working in the Veterinary field for a little over six years and couldn’t be happier.
